Opened in June 2006 by the Garcia family, owner of 5 other successful and recognized Gold's Gyms in South Texas, Gold's Gym McAllen sets the bar for member engagement. Those who join our fitness center are immediately immersed in the sense of community and belonging that is prevalent throughout the facility. This includes engagement with our athletic programs like RGV Sports League and training programs like our Crossfit affiliated Gold'sFit Elite Training Program, as well as with our customer-service oriented staff of personal trainers and group fitness instructors. In fact, in 2014 Gold's Gym McAllen was awarded Best Member Engagement by the franchise association. Engagement also comes in the form of inspirational member Jeremy Valladares, who was recognized after surviving a fatal motor vehicle accident and beat all odds to overcome his injuries with the help of family and friends at Gold's Gym McAllen. Being the largest club in the Rio Grande Valley, our gym in McAllen has the ability to give back to the community that has supported us since 2006. Annual events like our American Diabetes Association Spinathons and our American Cancer Society Zumbathons help to raise money for worthy programs that directly support the Rio Grande Valley and McAllen communities. Our first annual GoldsFit competition had its first annual event at Gold's Gym McAllen in 2014 and took place in our 3,000 square foot facility. The studio is equipped with the newest and best CrossFit equipment the industry has to offer and also includes astro turf for Sports Enhancement training. This event was a fusion of fun and fitness with a dash of friendly competition, and proved to serve as motivation for many of our members to push their workout routine to the next level. McAllen Fitness Center's variety of amenities and specialty programs make it unique to our members. Our youth fitness league, RGV Sports, hosts youth flag football, basketball, volleyball and much more to keep your children active and healthy. Programs like Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Self Defense classes are sure to meet your out of the box fitness needs. Our Sports Enhancement Training prepares minor league athletes for the major leagues in a 2400 square foot facility.
